The windows and doors come from old buildingsaround her town that were pulled down. The topof the house is an old boat turned upside down.And the gate in front of her house is made ofrocks and old glass bottles. Amy recently won aprize from the Help Save Our Planet Society. Thepresident said, “Amy is an inspiration to us all.”

Jessica Wong from Hong Kong uses old clothesthat people don’t wear anymore to make bags.She has been doing this for a few years now.She opened a small shop where she sells herbags, and she has also set up a website to sellthem online. She especially likes to use oldjeans to make handbags. Her bags are cute anduseful. “I plan to write a book about new waysto use old clothes,” she said.
“I hope people can read my
book and enjoy it!”
Wang Tao set up a small business in Shanghaifour years ago. He is known for using ironand other materials from old cars to makebeautiful art pieces. Some are large piecesthat look like animals or humans, and someare smaller pieces you can put at home. Themore popular works can even been seen in artshops around the city. Wang Tao hopes to setup a “metal art” theme park to show peoplethe importance of environmental protection.
Not only can the art bring happiness to others,but it also shows that even cold, hard iron canbe brought back to life with a little creativity.

6. Not only… but also…意为 “不但…而且…”
(a)并列连词，连接两个并列成分，其中
also可以省略。
(b) 主谓一致原则：not only…but also..
连接两个主语时，谓语动词在人称和数
上要与but also的主语保持一致。

•Not only do I feel good about helpingpeople, but also I get to spend timedoing what I love to do.
(c) 倒装原则：not only…but also…连接两个并列分句时， not only 置于句首，表示强调，其引导的句子要用部分倒装，即将谓语动词的一部分(情态动词，助动词等)放在句子的前面，而but also后的句子用正常语序。
