•The primary purpose of this study is to offer a convenient way foranyone who is interested to in hear what God’s plan to save man isall about.
•The entire course will consist of ten subjects.
•Some of the subjects will have two or three classes.
•Comments and questions are encouraged on the material in any class.
•Our first subject will be “truth”
•We will define truth and describe what truth is.
•We will study what the Bible says it will do for one who obeys it.
•Second subject: Why Human Beings Need God’s Word.
•We will see that man does not know what he needs to know.
•God has provided what man needs in His Word, the Bible.
•3rd, The Book Which We Call the Holy Bible Contains God’s Word.We will have about three classes on this subject.
•We will look at some of the things the Bible contains.
•Look at some reasons it is unique among the world’s Books.
•Will look at some proofs that it is the world’s only inspired book.
•Will look at some of God’s attributes.
•Will look at instances of God’s providence.
•Will look at some fulfilled prophecies.
•4th, God’s Intended Purpose For The Bible
•To be a permanent and available record of God’s revealed will.
•Revelation
•Defined
•As opposed to other methods of delivery.
•So man has in the Bible exactly what God wants him to have.
•5th, God’s intended purpose for the Bible is the reason it is theworld’s greatest book.
•We will see that the Bible is the world’s greatest book because:
•Only it is inspired by God
•Its antiquity and subject matter
•Its accuracy in all areas of subject matter
•The critical investigations is has undergone through the centuries.
•Its popularity
•6th, Why Man Needs God’s Plan of Salvation.
•God created man in His own image, thus, with an eternal soul.
•When man sinned, he lost access to the tree of life.
•God’s love for man caused Him to have mercy on his pathetic, lostcondition.
•God’s grace gave man a way to be saved from his lost condition.
•The Bible contains the story of that plan.
•Why would anyone ignore God’s plan?
•7th, In view of #6, why would man change it in any way?
•Satan has convinced man to change God’s word. Why?
•Pride
•Money, power, influence, etc.
•Deceives man so he thinks changes are acceptable to God.
•8th, What is God’s Plan For Saving Man Today?
•This subject will require about three classes.
•We will study the main points of the plan.
•We will see that God only has one plan to save man.
•We’ll see that if it is changed in any way, it is no longer God’s plan.
•We’ll see when it became effective and how long it will last.
•We will then draw some important conclusions from these studies.
•9th, God’s List of Things of Which There Is Only One
•These things constitute the “unity” that exists in the spiritualrealm.
•There are seven of them, listed in Ephesians 4:1-7.
•We will study their meanings and ramifications.
•10th, How To Study The Bible
•Language is used to communicate.
•Words are symbols that convey the ideas of the communication.
•The Bible is a big book – where does one begin?
•Old Testament and New Testament
•Both are needed.
•The NT is essential
•How to establish authority
•Direct command or statement
•Apostolically approved example
•Necessary inference
