Sasson’s invention started with an assignment fromhis boss at Eastman Kodak, G. Lloyd in 1975. Hethought of ways to improve other companies designs ofthe “digital camera” He was said to draw on whateverwas available.
He tested an 8 lb. Toaster size machine, he asked a co-worker to pose for him, the black and white image wascaptured at a resolution of .01 megapixels, it took 23seconds to record on a digital cassette tape andanother 23 seconds to appear on a TV.
