To make a sentence into a question:

All verbs other than be add do before the subjectwhen the subject is plural, with I and you.

All verbs other than be add does before thesubject when the subject is singular, with he,she, and it.

Plural Subjects, I & You Questions

•Do I work at Al Ain Zoo?

•Do you study every day?

•Do we live in Dubai?

•Do they speak Arabic?

•Do the students come from the U.A.E.?

•Note: You can make negative questions using don’t instead of do.

Singular Subjects, He, She, & ItQuestions

•Does the child eat breakfast every day?

•Does he usually exercise in the afternoon?

•Does she wake up early?

•Does it often rain in December?

Important Note

•Note that the second or main verb stays in thebase form. It does not change, even when thesubject is singular:
