Algorithm based on consecutive ACQ scores to adjust medical treatment.* ACQ = Asthma Control Questionnaire. At entry of the algorithm, the evaluation period is bypassed. The evaluation period starts after treatmentwas stepped up.† The optimal control period starts after 1 ACQ score ≤0.5 and ends after 1 ACQ score >0.5.
