(forget= forget to do sth)

(forget= forget sth that took place)
•Stop doing it! (stop=quit)

(Stop= stop sth to do sth else)
3. Verbs + ing with difference inmeaning + full infinitive
•I tried to stand up but I couldn’t. (try= attempt)
•Why don’t you try texting her if she doesn’tanswer the phone? (try=suggestion)
•I regret to inform you that your application hasbeen turned down. (regret= I’m sorry)
•She regrets behaving in that awful way. (regret= repent)
•He went on talking even though nobody waslistening (go on=continue)

4. Verbs + ing (completed action) +bare infinitive (action in progress)
•I can feel him staring at me.
