ENGLISH PLACEMENT TEST
Consists of Three Sections:
You will be given 2 1/2 HOURS (150 MINUTES)
TO COMPLETE THE ENTIRE ENGLISH TEST
1)Reading Comprehension
2)Sentence Sense
*You have 90 minutes (1 ½ hours) to complete the first twosections
3)Essay Questions
*You have 60 minutes (1 hour) to complete the essay question

Pending Transcripts
If you are a Freshman that has taken a college courseor a Transfer Student please note:
All OFFICIAL transcripts with college credits MUST be sent toRutgers University-Newark for evaluation by July 1, 2016. If youhave taken a college course while in High School (HS) youshould inform the academic advisor during registration. TheUniversity does not receive notification from your HS of collegecredits you have earned.
•Official AP or CLEP exam scores also need to be sent toRutgers by the deadline.
•It is important that you DO NOT register for a course at RU-Nthat you MIGHT receive transfer credit for.
