Rule #18: “Candidates will not be allowed to leave theexamination room during the first hour or during thelast 15 minutes of any examination. If the duration ofthe examination is one hour and 15 minutes or less,candidates will not be allowed to leave during theexamination.”
Rule #20: “It is the responsibility of the candidate toensure that the front page of their coversheet is correctlycompleted prior to departure from the examinationroom.”

Raise your hand, turn in your testing materials andwait quietly until the HL exam is over & the Invigilatordismisses everyone.

Guthrie Classes
If you have a Guthrie Center class during your exam, doNOT go to the Guthrie Center. Come to your IB exam.Missing your exam because you went to your GuthrieCenter class does NOT constitute an “adversecircumstance”. You will NOT be allowed to make up theexam.

Using answer booklets…
Two types: subject specific and blank for writing essays.
Many of the exams are now sent to a scanning centerwhich are then electronically sent to the examiners.
It is very important that your answers are within the boxdrawn in the answer booklets so that your entire answeris scanned and graded.
Only ONE line of writing oneach line in the booklet.
Using answer booklets…
Where answer boxes are provided, candidatesmust write their answers in the boxes. Ifcandidates are unable to complete their answer inthe box given, they should continue their answeron supplementary answer booklets and indicatethat they have done this within the box.
For exams using blank answer booklets, all draft workis done in the answer booklet. If a candidate does notwant this draft work to be marked, a line must bedrawn through that work.
Using answer booklets…
When you start a new questionor essay, skip a minimum of oneline and go to the next line thathas the two boxes for writing thequestion number. Start the newquestion or essay on that line.

Many of the exams will be in Rooms A421-A426.
A few exams will be in the gym or in Room A428.
Remember some of the rooms canget very cold.
Dress in layers, bring a sweateror sweatshirt.
