Students who maintain full-time student status (defined as a daily courseschedule with 7/8 classes per semester) during all four years of high schooland meet all other graduation requirements may waive an initial .5 physicaleducation credit by successfully completing the following criteria:
Two (2) St. Vrain Valley School District athletic programs at the varsity orjunior varsity level (two different sports; same sport two seasons); or
72 hours during one semester of an appropriate, pre-approved,structured, and supervised activity outside of the school district.
Students with an advanced course schedule, including enrollment in multipleacademically rigorous courses, may also request .5 physical education creditwaiver when combined with one of the above criteria.

IB DIPLOMA REQUIREMENTS
1.IB Students must meet all SVVSD graduation requirementswith the exception of US/CO Government.
2.Additionally, IB students must complete an IB level 4 worldlanguage.
3.IB Students must complete at least three Higher Levelclasses and three Standard Level classes.
4.IB Students must complete a Theory of Knowledge classduring the spring of their junior year AND the fall of theirsenior year.
5.IB Students must also complete their Extended Essay, CASrequirements and receive qualifying scores on their IBExaminations.

•3 to 4 years of Science
•3 to 4 years of Social Science
•2 to 4 years of World Language
Every college has its own specific admissions requirements. Pleasemake sure to review admissions requirements at each school you areconsidering. Some examples include speech, economics and visual /performing arts.
Refer to the 10th Grade College PlanningTimeline for specific information to prepare foryour junior year.
Review your transcript and complete yourcredit check form to make sure you’re on trackfor graduation. Meet with your counselor ifyou have any questions or concerns aboutcredits or graduation.
If you have failed core classes- list them onyour registration sheet and your counselor willadvise you of your options for summer schoolor credit recovery.
You can register for a maximum of two Time ReleasePeriods (TRP) per semester. TRP form required.
Look into CDC classes. If interested , complete theCDC application and submit it with your registrationforms.
Consider registering for Elementary Tutor. Ifinterested, list on your registration form.
Work Study (.5 credit) may be an option if you have ajob and work an average of 15 hours per week. Seeyour counselor in the fall for a Work Studyapplication.
Students planning on attending a 4-year college should beenrolled in CP, AP or IB English as a junior.
Concurrent Enrollment – students can take up to two collegeclasses each semester at Front Range or CU. Attend theConcurrent Enrollment meeting in March for more details.
Planning on playing college sports? Notify your counselor,register with the NCAA Eligibility Center and make sure totake classes that meet NCAA requirements. For example, BestSellers and Intermediate Algebra are not approved courses.
Complete any Advanced Placement (AP) course applications(if needed).
◦If you are planning on taking an AP class, some coursesrequire separate applications. Applications can be found onthe Counseling Website, or hard-copy via teacher.
◦For AP courses not requiring an application, you must meetthe expected pre-requisites stated in the course handbookand/or be recommended by a teacher.
Depending on student requests, some AP classes may not beoffered or may be limited to seniors only.
AP Calculus B/C and AP Biology are 1.5 credits, which will takeup three spots on your registration form.
