PROGRAMME FOR INFRASTRUCTUREDEVELOPMENT IN AFRICA (PIDA)
Single comprehensive and integratedcontinental infrastructure programme(transport, energy, ICT and trans-boundary water) sponsored by AUC,NEPAD Secretariat and AfDB with astrong involvement of RECs, ECA and AUSpecialised Institutions as well asDevelopment Partners, Civil Society andPrivate Sector.

PIDA is going to deliver overall policy,strategic framework and prioritized andphased infrastructure program up to theyear 2030.
PIDA has two phases:
Phase I: Study on policies, strategiesand programs;
Phase II: Implementation of priorityprojects.

Transport flagship projects from the NEPADSTAP retained during the Saly PortudalRound Table (January 2008) to speed up theimplementation of concrete projects capableto show African commitment for theinfrastructure development in the Continent

The pre-feasibility study for Dakar-Ndjamena-Djibouti has been startedwith the firm STUDI International for 6months

AUC = $US 249,480
The procurement process is at finalstage : bids evaluation is completed andAfDB non-objection is awaited
The study is planned for 12 months
