What is Reading Recovery?
•Individual students receive a half-hour lesson eachschool day for 12 to 20 weeks with a speciallytrained Reading Recovery teacher. As soon asstudents can meet grade-level expectations anddemonstrate that they can continue to workindependently in the classroom, their lessons arediscontinued, and new students begin individualinstruction.
