•You should also use the principles of design thatwe have discussed before – showing all of thevalues and textures when shading.
•It must include at least 2 hands!!
You need to figure outa creative way tocombine hands and alandscape. Theyshould work togetherand make somesense.
It’s okay for the landscape to be a
“Fantasy-scape”!!!

Magnified - - The project…
•You will create a drawing that will includea magnifying glass.
•Part of your image must be magnified(inside the magnifying glass), and part ofyour image must remain unchanged.
–Selection of magnified area is an importantdecision!
Magnified – continued…
•You can start with an original unchangeddrawing or photograph if you want, andthen magnify a certain section and redrawthat particular area, or, you are welcometo take a photograph of your own, thatincludes a magnifying glass in the originalimage.
It could be a portrait ofyou or someone youknow!
It doesn’t haveto magnify theeye – perhapsthey chose themouth for areason…
I like the way that the magnifiedarea of the image is in focus, andthe background is not….Interesting!
The artist chose to “break”the magnifying glass in thiscase.
It doesn’t have to be aperson!
Composition still matters.Make your overall drawinglook interesting - - thecomposition of the guitarimage is more interestingthan the flower, becauseit’s following the “rule of3rds.”
