The 58th Annual Seminar on the United Nations and International Affairs

A programme for youth by youth.
What is it?
SUNIA is a programme designed to inform and empower participants in the global arena
It’s put on each year by 14 counselors, all former participants, with a love and
passion for the programme and an interest in international affairs and conflicts
  The programme is held at the Goldeye Centre, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies
What happens there?
The programme can be split intotwo parts:
Recreation which includes hikes,sports, canoeing, swimming, andenjoying the outdoors in general
International Relations whichincludes seminars, lectures,discussions, and a SecurityCouncil simulation
You and 70 other studentshave the entire week to makefriends, have fun, and maybelearn a little something too.

What are the accommodations like?
You’ll be stayingin heated bunkcabins, withseparate washhouses.
  All meals are providedby the Goldeye Centre,and are included in yourparticipant fee.

When and where is it?
The Goldeye Centre is about an hour from Rocky Mountain House, close to a town called Nordegg
Choose one of two weeks to participate in:
Week A: August 15th- 20th
Week B: August 22nd- 27th
Who can come?
Any high school student!
The costs are:
$75 Registration Fee
$475 Participant Fee
If this seems out of your price range there are many bursary and scholarship opportunities available!
We’ve never turned away a student for lack of funds.
