Mummification
•After death, Egyptians believed the bodyseparated into three parts: physical body, spirit(ka), & personality (ba).
•Embalming was developed in 2600BC (preservinghuman remains)
•Very expensive, only the wealthy could afford it
•Once mummified, they would be buried in theirtomb along with objects necessary for the afterlife
