Dade County Science Teachers’ Association (DCSTA)2014 Teacher of the Year Awards.
Awards are designed to honor one classroom teacher ineach of the following three levels of teaching:  K-5, 6-8, and9-12.
Nominees must be a full-time (the majority of the day indirect instruction to students) classroom teacher and be inat least their third year of teaching.
Applications and more information will be sent out as aWeekly Briefing and by the Science Department in March.
Applications will be due on April 28th, 2014.
DCSTA Science Teacher of the Year Awards Banquet will beon May 16, 2017 at the Marriott Miami Airport Hotel.

FCR-STEMLearn Certificate
The FCR-STEMLearn Certificate Program aims toprovide professional development to approximately1,000 teachers across the state of Florida during thesummer of 2014.
The PD includes an 80 hour face-to-face summerinstitute in Orlando with follow-up lesson study in thefall.
FCR-STEM will cover the hotel and travel costs forteachers selected to attend the PD.
PD attendees who complete all program requirementswill receive a $2,000 stipend.
