Permitted
oProvided all requirements of Law are met, thefollowing throw-ins are permitted
oNon-traditional deliveries (i.e. flip throw)
oPlayer who lacks the use of one or bothhands may perform a legal throw-in
oThrow ball at any player to play ball again ifnot careless, reckless, or with excessiveforce
Other information
oMembers of the opposing team:
omay not unfairly distract or interfere with a throwin
omust retire at least 2 yards
oThrow-in is in play when:
oBall enters the field and
oBall leaves the thrower’s hands
oCannot score directly from a throw-in
oDirect throw to opponent’s goal – goal kick
oDirect throw to own goal – corner kick
Infringements
oDouble touch by thrower
oIFK to opponent
oDefender distracts/fails to retire 2 yards
oCaution
oBall does not enter the field
oRe-take the throw-in if it was otherwise legal
oThrow in for opponent if not a legal throw
oAny other infringement
oThrow in for opposing team
