If you are 65 years or older, have a chronic disease
like heart disease, diabetes or have a respiratory or an autoimmune condition you are eligible for a flu vaccination. Thenext clinic dates are Tuesday 20th October between2.00pm-3.50pm and Wednesday 21st October between9.00am-11.00am. Please book your appointment atreception

When the Swine Flue vaccination is available the surgerywill be holding vaccination clinics. The following groupswill be prioritised in order:-
• people aged over 6 months and under 65 in the at riskgroups (heart disease, diabetes, respiratory and autoimmune conditions.
• all pregnant women, subject to licensing conditions ontrimesters
• household contacts of people with reduced immunesystems, e.g. people in regular contact with patients ontreatment for cancer
•People aged 65 and over in the at risk groups. This doesnot include healthy over 65’s as they appear to have somenatural immunity to the virus.

DO YOU HAVE A CHRONIC DISEASE,SUCH AS DIABETES, ASTHMA, COPDOR HEART DISEASE.....? If you do you areentitled to have a regular annual health check up calledan Annual Review. These appointments usually takebetween 20-30 minutes and are with the Practice Nurse.If you have not been seen by the nurse in the last 12months please contact the surgery to make anappointment.
APPOINTMENTS You canmake a pre bookable appointment upto 6 weeks in advance for both the GPsand the nurse.
Late Appointments: If you arrive latefor your appointment you may not beable to be seen and will be asked to re-book. Please allow plenty of time toattend your appointment.
Missed Appointments: During themonth of August 2009, there were 57appointments missed by patients notattending their appointment.
If you are unable to keep yourappointment PLEASE telephone thesurgery to cancel as soon as you can.
EXTENDED HOURS We haveappointments available for pre bookablenon urgent matters outside of ournormal core working hours. These areheld on a Monday between the hours of:
7.30am-8.00am & 6.30pm-7.30pm

You can now book a telephoneconsultation with a doctor or nurse ifyou feel your medical problem can bedealt with over the telephone. Theseappointments are available each day.Contact reception to book yourconsultation.
